For the first time, after more than 10 years on stage, well over 500 concerts, 6 albums, and numerous collaborations and other projects, i am releasing live concert recordings with "Martin Kohlstedt - LIVE". It all started with a concert. On a cold afternoon in February 2013, I played at Franz Mehlhose in Erfurt. The café was well-filled, the coffee and cake were delicious, and I had set up a Fender Rhodes and synthesizers, playing the music from my first album "Tag". A sign of things to come. Not only because electronic elements were already making their way into my work. Ten years later, in the fall of 2023, a long-sold-out concert at the Erfurt Theater will mark the conclusion of an extensive tour that has taken me through the most renowned concert halls in the world. F or the album, all concerts of the 2023 european tour were recorded, and later I curated a fictional best-of from over 400 recordings, taking listeners on a journey: around the world in 80 minutes - with stops in Barcelona, Vienna, Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and back to Leipzig.
